Fog 1.2 Vista Single Disk Resizable Issue
-
Hello,
I am not sure if any one else has run into this issue however I am using a fresh install of Fog 1.2 on Ubuntu 12.04. When I set the Image Type as Single Disk Resizble for my Vista Image with Window Vista as the Operating System.
The Image will successfully upload however when trying to download the download fails with partclone stating that the image is not a partclone image. I have verified this issue is with both 32 and 64 bit windows vista and that when the image is being uploaded it does use partclone.
The system is working with windows 7,8 and 8.1 only vista is having this issue. Also if I select Multiple Partition Image - Single Disk (Not Resizable) the Image upload and download both work.If you need any more information please let me know.
Thank you!

Upgrade to SVN. This issue was brought to my attention and fixed in SVN 2095. Release of 1.2.0 was SVN 2094. I’m sorry it was missed, but nearly as soon as I was told, it was fixed.

I still have the same problem with Windows Vista resizable images. Fog download the image and after restart you can see only black screen with blinking cursor. I have latest SVN 2826. With Ubuntu 14.04.1. Everything else if work fine (Windows 7, 8). Vista work only when you set not-resizible.
Thanks.

I was able to fugure out this issue. Solutions is just change image OS Type to Windows 7 before upload image to the server

Vista resizable has been known about for quite some time. As a matter of fact, I believe it was fixed the very next SVN revision (2095/2096).
I’m glad switching to Windows 7 fixes this for you though, and maybe will help others running into the same situation.
