Pxe boot from hd fails

I upgraded from for 1.1.2 to 1.2.0 and the Lenovo desktops boot from pxe to register but when it reboots and you leave it default to boot from hard drive so windows will load it just stays on a blank screen with a blinking cursor we have a HP which works fine! Not sure where to try to fix this issue as 1.1.2 worked fine with the Lenovo but 1.2.0 I cant boot from hd within the pxe image??

You can try changing the exit style from fog pxe settings

I have changed the exit style to exit and it didn’t change anything? Do I need to do a reboot of the fog server to refresh the settings or is clicking save enough? I have 2 fog servers setup and one that was upgraded to version 1.2.0 from 1.1.2 works fine. The only difference is the one that works is running on Ubuntu server 14.04 and I read that its not recommended to use 14.04 so this server I installed 12.04 and did a fresh install of 1.2.0. I noticed the text on the one that was upgraded and works is green and the one that doesn’t is red. is there a different version of the pxe image? Can I copy it from the working one to the other one? where is the files that would be required located at?

The “Green” “Red” text is an indicator of the registration of the host. If you have two separate server’s, chances are your “red” systems relative FOG server does not have that host registered to it.

That makes sense! I figured it out and wanted to post my resolution if anyone else has the issue! What I did is did a kernel update and now its working.
