(1.1.2) Disappearing tasks prevent multicast
-
Good afternoon,
After upgrading Fog to version 1.x, Fog successfully unicasts but during multicasts becomes stuck at the “starting to restore image” stage. I read through and attempted the fixes described here http://fogproject.org/forum/threads/1-1-1-multicast-hang-starting-to-restore-image.10862/, to no avail. The relevant Fog services, especially Fog multicast manager, are running. The key appears to be that ten seconds after the task starts, the task (as shown in the log file attached) is “no longer running.” I have used different kernels, older and newer, 64 bit and 32 bit. The ten second cutoff happens consistently, regardless of computers or switches used. However, under task management, the tasks continue to show up as active tasks.
My appreciation in advance for any insight into this impediment.
Dave

Hi DFS,
Having exactly the same issue here. Version 0.32 worked for us, so we can rule out any network config issue. When we start the task it dies after 10 seconds. We’ve verified that the multicast services are running, etc…Have you found a fix?
Thanks…
