Load kernel and init.gz from storage node
-
Hi
Not 100% sure that this hasen’t been discussed, but couldn’t find it.
I have one Fog server (0.32) and now 4 Storage nodes.
All working just fine.
My offbases (wich each have a node) can easily deply an image localy.
But they have to load the kernel and init.gz file from the Main server. And that takes very long, since the offbases have slow connections.
Is there any way to make them load from the local storage node? Instead of th server.
ThanksCheers

Basically, having more than one tftp server? There you go: http://www.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Multiple_TFTP_servers

(and then, pointing your local machines to this TFTP server using DHCP rather than your master node.)

Oh I forgot to thank you for the reply
All off bases has different ip range.
So I can just change the pxe boot to that server for those locations? -
definately, that’s the easy setup if you can tell dhcp to just point to a different TFTP server for the PXE part.
