Fog Client

It seems that my fog client is not connecting since updating to version 1.0.1 from .32. Is there also an update to the client? I cannot seem to find where to download that (I assume somewhere on the fog interface).

OK, so it seems that the fog client is NOT automatically re-joining to the domain after imaging…any ideas?

Is the uploaded image joined to the domain?

No, I detach the uploaded image before creating the image…that has always worked in the past…is that wrong?

So I made those changes - I still had domain\Admin…

It doesn’t try to rejoin until the FOG Service is restarted. Try restarting your system and see if it works.

Sorry, I have always restarted the system in between making changes…should have said that…

I went looking through the config file, and found a bunch of URLs as to where the client should look for various names, such as host name changes, etc…I tried pointing to one from a browser, and I get the following: “invalid version number please update this module”

This was done from the workstation in question…not sure if that is just because I tried from a browser, or if that indicates an issue…

Got it…seems that all the options are turned off by default in the new version? Under service settings…

I’m going to go out on a limb, this wasn’t a system you registered after upgrading?

Nope. That was an existing computer.

This was likely the problem then. The default for newly registered systems is to Enable the services, but on an upgrade it’s not quite as simple.
