Use same image path in differents images

Hi,
I have a pretty big HDD that is split into 12 partitions. I want to make few image with one partition per image to restore it partition by partition. Why can’t we use the same path? Do I have to capture one image for each partition ?

Other question :

Can we increase the amount of partition here ?
