Simply trying to update FOG. Was hoping the update would go smooth, but there is a snag. When it starts the actual upgrade, it says PHP failed to install properly. Fogproject search and Google search don’t return results with a similar problem.

I did searches for the PHP.ini and only found 7.0, not 7.1, seems FOG is looking for 7.1

Not sure how to UPGRADE to 7.1 and do so in a way not to lose the setting FOG needs.
      On Ubuntu 16.04.7

      Any help on this?
      Thank you for your time.

@joez455 Ubuntu 16.04 is no longer under support. This means the repositories that are helping FOG perform the installation are also no longer supported. I would highly recommend upgrading Ubuntu first.

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

@joez455 normally yes, but I’m not going to guarantee it as I can’t know every case. I would highly suggest backing up the images folder, the /opt/fog folder, and a backup of the current database. Just to be safe of course.
