Hi,

I am trying to join one of our w2008 server to our domain using fog.
For this, I created an user with the good rights in order to add a computer to the AD.
I tried to join with the NETDOM command and it works.

When I try to deploy the image with same settings in the fog configuration page, it doesn’t work.

Do I missed something ?

Is it because the computer does not log in at start (password on the local user Administrator) ?

Thanks !

Cheers,
gB.

I would check the settings in the configuration page and make sure your using domain\username. That one got me and machines were failing to join until I change it.

Yeah, all settings put in this page are correct and work with the netdom command:

netdom command:
C:\Users\Administrator>netdom JOIN COMPUTERNAME /Domain:corp.XXXX /OU:OU=servers,OU=XXXX,DC=corp,DC=XXXX /UserD:CORP\FogGhost /PasswordD:XXXX /REBoot:35

The command completed successfully.
What does the Fog log say? It should be in the root of C:\

After restarting FOG service, it worked…
No more information in the log… I don’t know why it needed a restart of the service while it did not work this night.
