I took out the one of the problem hosts and it didn’t seem to care.

Operation Not supported
I figured I better start a new thread for this problem.
Just upgraded to fog 1.1.0 and did it with a fresh database with fresh linux install (14.04 ubuntu). The only thing I carried over was the host. Still getting Operation Not supported. Kind of at a loss. Upgraded bios on 990’s to A18 (most current) didn’t seem to help. Dell 390 doing the same, I was able to get it to work on “e0478-DEFAULT-TEST” ipxe.pxe . Nothing else so far though seems to get them to work.

RE: 040ee119 error on boot
Thanks fractal that is good info to know. So it is definatley something unique with my setup.
I am running A18 on the bios and I will run through boot again and post that in a sec. No wireless or other nics in any of the machines.

RE: 040ee119 error on boot
What would you suggest? Should I run a backup and re-install? Or would that carry the same problem over. Its just weird that the same issue happened on a Dell 390 and I change to ipxe.pxe and it worked fine.

RE: 040ee119 error on boot
Tom,
I got rid of the “Operation not Supported” message on a Dell 390 today by using the “e0478-DEFAULT-TEST” ipxe.pxe . Though that version did not work on the Dell 990’s. I went through all of the most current files you have posted and here is what I have found.
e0478-DEFAULT-TEST
undionly.kkpxe - - reboot loop on dell 990 operation not supported
ipxe.pxe - - - - operation not supported then freezes
undionly.kpxe - - - operation not supported then freezes
undionly.pxe - - - - assumming it errors but goes way to fast to read error then reboots
ipxe.kpxe - - - operation not supported then freezes
ipxe.kkpxe - - - operation not supported then freezesd6300-DEFAULT-GOOD
ipxe.pxe - - - operation not supported then freezes
undionly.kpxe - – operation not supported then freezes
undionly.pxe - - - - assumming it errors but goes way to fast to read error then reboots
ipxe.kpxe - - - operation not supported then freezes
ipxe.kkpxe - - - operation not supported then freezes
undionly.kkpxe - - - - operation not supported then reboots -
RE: 040ee119 error on boot
Ok went through about 10 of the different undionly.kpxe and still have the problem. Is there anyway I can for a schema update again? I tried to re-run the installer and it said it didn’t need it - so it skipped it. Should I be trying both the ipxe.kpxe and the undionly.kpxe? We have imaged some machines so everything else looks ok. Also it still appears to be affecting only dell 990’s. We pushed the current firmware and no difference.

RE: 040ee119 error on boot
The error I’m seeing here seems to be of the type of error where something is configured improperly. Possibly due to a schema update? Or the IP it’s using to get the info isn’t correct? The error presented is NOT the 040ee119, so the question remains, with the f473 it’s booting, but giving a different message. With this f473 undionly, are you still getting the 040ee119 message?
With the f473 the 040ee119 went away. Now the “Operation not supported” error is in its place. I can work on 90% of our computers without issues, but the others get stuck on boot. Seems to be the same computers that the 040ee119 was effecting.

RE: 040ee119 error on boot
I just tried the f473 undionly.kpxe and got the attached error.
I too was having the 0x040ee119

RE: Error on .33b
Tom,
Looks like I ran into another issue, but this one is a bit more strange. It seems to only effect Dell 990’s. When one is booted or restarted (any time it hits the fog server). I have updated to the newest kernel 3.14.2.64. I have Dell 9010’s and HP 800 and 8300 and all seem to work just fine.

Getting a new problem. Thank you for the wiki idea. Fixed my other issues there. This one is a big issue, but I am sure it is something I have missed.

RE: Getting More than Two Partitions Found
After I changed the “Master Password” under the FOG PXE Boot Menu Config - so I could get into debug mode (wouldn’t go with a blank) all my machines end up being stuck at the “Booting from local disk…”

RE: Getting More than Two Partitions Found
I think your on to something. I will recreate the image and ensure that it is mbr.

Getting More than Two Partitions Found
Fresh install of windows 7 pro. I verify that windows only sees the 100mb partition and the main partition. Fog tells me that “More than 2 partitions found, not valid for this image type.”
The host is set to windows 7. The image is set to Single Partition (NTFS Only, Resizable).
I have dozens of images built and hundreds of workstations out, but I did have to rebuild my Fog server a few months ago. Did I miss something?

RE: Unable to upload file
Ok fixed it. I just re-ran the installer over the install. Then went back and made sure my Database passwords were in the config file. It seems to work fine now. I am having severe throughput problems with this though. Looks to me though it is a ubuntu running as a VM thing though not part of FOG.
Thank you for your help.
