RE: failed to create inventory for this hos
I am running FOG svn version 4876 and using a Fedora server. Like I said everything worked fine yesterday but now today I can’t inventory or image a computer.
Thank you

RE: Wake on LAN over different VLANS
@Wayne-Workman I tried that and still the computer is not turning on. It has the same settings as before I switched to Fedora when the wake on lan worked with Ubuntu. Just confused haha

RE: Wake on LAN over different VLANS
@Wayne-Workman If you’re talking about on the fog server where the storage node is, right now it is set to ‘bond0’ You’re saying to change that to ens32? and that should fix the wake on lan?
-
RE: Wake on LAN over different VLANS
@Tom-Elliott I work from 8-4 every day during the week, but if you are only available at night I can make it work. I’m in NY as well so time wise will be the same

@Tom-Elliott Take your time Tom! I am very patient and have any time you need so whenever you are free.

RE: Wake on LAN over different VLANS
@Wayne-Workman After we installed Fedora 21 server wake on lan no longer works even on the same vlan. I feel like i might have to install something but I can not find anything on the wiki. Would you be able to assist?

RE: UEFI and FOG
@Uncle-Frank Awesome thank you. I finally decided to use linux and run fixparts and now it uploads perfectly. Thank you very much for your help!
-
RE: UEFI and FOG
@Junkhacker I have never used fixparts and when I try to type in the disk number it exits the program
-
RE: UEFI and FOG
@Junkhacker OK so you’re thinking that things should work perfectly without using RAW to upload the file if I run that fixparts program to completely wipe the sectors? I’ll give that a try! Thank you

RE: UEFI and FOG
@need2 When I downgraded to Windows 7 I deleted all partitions and then installed Windows 7. It seems when I upload the image as a RAW file it worked, now I am going to test out the others again because that became a 50 GB image which is too big.

RE: UEFI and FOG
These HPs came pre installed with Windows 8 and we are downgrading them to Windows 7 for the district. Wanted to try to give you all the necessary information. If I keep UEFI enabled I have to manually boot to the FOG server because it will not boot to the PXE server, only in legacy mode will that work. If I was install Windows 7 with UEFI enabled, the image uploads and downloads just fine but like I said I have to load to the PXE server manually as UEFI won’t boot to the NIC card.

UEFI and FOG
Thank you very much in advance.
I have a HP prodesk 400 SFF computer and installed Windows 7 64 bit on that machine. I disabled the UEFI to boot through legacy and installed Windows that way. When I go to upload the image afterwards, I get an error message saying “error trying to save gpt partition tables”
My dell’s are working just fine uploading and downloading images, just for some reason these HPs are giving me a hard time. Would anyone be aware of this issue?

RE: kernelvers.php
@Wayne-Workman Sorry guys, was doing a Core switch replacement at my job. Imaging still works perfectly, in fact just uploaded an image about an hour ago.

kernelvers.php
I just finished installing Fedora server OS and FOG on a VM and after getting my synology box up and running, I was instructed to run updates. I did and when I go to the Fog Configuration page I am getting an error: The requested URL /fog/status/kernelvers.php was not found on this server.
Any clues as to what might be causing this?
Thank you in advance

RE: Switching NAS servers
@Wayne-Workman Also the test.txt file is in the /images folder on the FOG server but not on the Synology box, just for your information
-
RE: Switching NAS servers
@Wayne-Workman When I now type them in its not giving me an error just a list of file system specific -o flags. After that I try to test the download and upload and i get an error message "cp: cannot stat ‘/images/test.txt’: no such file or directory

RE: Switching NAS servers
@Wayne-Workman Yes I followed those commands, it didnt say that it did but it didnt give an error message when I typed those commands
