RE: Checkboxes in Task Management not working as expected
The initial OP is fixed as I see the Yes/No dialog now. But canceling tasks does not work anymore. I click yes but the tasks remain in the list. I see this warning in apache error log:
PHP Warning: html_entity_decode() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /var/www/html/fog/lib/fog/fogbase.class.php on line 365, referer: http://172.16.1.106/fog/management/index.php?node=task&sub=active

Creating a task results in ReflectionException but task is still created
This is the error I see when creating an upload task (unicast as well as multicast):

RE: Scheduled cron tasks don't start
@raymondub Tom was asking you to update to the very latest version via git or svn: https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=Upgrade_to_trunk
You don’t need to worry about FOG 1.2.0 at all anymore. Just go straight to trunk via git/svn.
Please check the install error log in the same directory where you run the installer from, so
fogproject/bin/error_log/...
and let us know what exactly goes wrong… -
RE: Deploy image. No disk passed (runPartprobe)
@Miguel-Palacios Confirmed the issue and Tom fixed it in the last minutes. Please update to the very latest version and you should be up again.

RE: SQL Error on fresh installation
@Zaarin Sorry, didn’t mean you with the mysql version but it’s still good to know. Please give us a little more time to look into this. Feels like this might be quite a big issue, @Tom-Elliott…
PS: I put your long post into a code box so we don’t need to scroll all that much to see the new answers…

RE: Fog: multicasting across subnets
@K-Hays Have you had a look at the process list on your FOG server after starting a multicast task? Please show us the output of
ps ax | grep udp
on your FOG server while a multicast task is waiting! -
RE: schemaupdater error (latest SVN)
@ITCC Please upgrade to the latest, Tom just fixed the issue… confirmed, fixed, tested!

RE: Access denied for root@localhost
@Hanz I cannot see how this is related to the topic of Ubuntu 16.04 mysql issues!?! Please help me.
-
RE: Deploy image. No disk passed (runPartprobe)
@Miguel-Palacios Please check your apache error logs. See my signature below this message on where to find those log files.

RE: schemaupdater error (latest SVN)
@ITCC You should actually know what I will be asking you… Apache error logs??? See my signature.

Just realized maybe you were referring to have me run the UDP-Sender / UDP-Receiver commands manually?
Nope, I was asking you to run the command
ps ax | grep udp
and show the output to us. From what I get you don’t seem to have any udp-sender processes running after you started multicast task. Please make sure you have a valid image on your server:ls -al /images/<img-name>
(please post the output here as well!)… -

Still getting the same issues
Which issues/errors exactly? The mysql 5.7 stuff or what?

RE: tsc : Fast TSC Calibration failed
@ChrisRaff How long did you wait? Like 10 seconds or 5 minutes? Sometimes it takes a fair amount of time (on some hardware).
As Quazz already said, the “Fast TSC calibration failed” message can be irgnored!
Please enable kernel debug and crank up the kernel error level in FOG Configuration -> FOG settings (expand all and search for KERNEL). Hopefully we can get some more info on where it all hangs/needs a lot of time…

RE: SQL Error on fresh installation
@Zaarin A couple of your error messages are the same as in the thread Quazz mentioned (like
Incorrect integer value
) but there are other errors as well. We definitely need to look into this. On the other hand I am wondering how @Wayne-Workman was able to bring up a 16.04 server without any issues yesterday?!? Different mysql-server version (dpkg -l | grep -e "mysql" -e "maria"
)? -
RE: Error 'Incorrect integer value' when inserting an empty string into INT field in MySQL 5.7
@Quazz Are you seeing the exact same issue on your 16.04 updated system?

Error 'Incorrect integer value' when inserting an empty string into INT field in MySQL 5.7
Moving all the posts to this new thread… I might have found what’s causing this but I don’t have the time to verify just now: http://www.garethalexander.co.uk/tech/mysql-5-incorrect-integer-value-column-id-row-1
@Wayne-Workman I still wonder why you wouldn’t run into this on your fresh 16.04 install. Can you please check SQL_MODE on your server? -
RE: Ubuntu 16.04 Server - custom partitioning during installation
@Wayne-Workman Does this mean you didn’t have any issues running FOG on ubuntu 16.04? I had a lot of trouble upgrading and with the newer mysql version (5.7)… Hope it turns out to be a minor issue only.
-
RE: Error 'Incorrect integer value' when inserting an empty string into INT field in MySQL 5.7
@Tom-Elliott Yes, all on MySQL 5.7 - while I am not sure if it’s really caused by the newer version it definitely feels like it. Was pretty late and I probably need to look into this again. Have you ever had a chance to test on 5.7?

RE: need snap in creation instruction
@boeleke Yes, we need more infos! As well would you please post your question in a new topic!
