@tom-elliott Deleted hosts, put fog service smart installer, tried quick regist but not full.
So, uninstall fog service, delete pending host and re-register?

@tom-elliott That’s the thing. Host management | List all host shows absolutely no host.
@themcv Nothing in hosts | list all hosts. It was in ‘list all host’ this morning with the red icon. That red icon said host cannot be found. So I thought I would delete all the host defs, image defs, and start back from scratch. Now, the ting not even coming up!
@sebastian-roth Right, whole picture is good lol.
*Attempting to register host… Already reistered as 64006a699641
BUT! My FOG management console shows no such host!
If you want more screenshots (actual screenshots) let me know.
@sebastian-roth I mean it was registering. But I did the copy password thing on .fogconfig and now just errors.
My organization does not allow PXE booting.
Well, I deleted all hosts and definitions, reregistered my host using USB FOS. IT IS NOT REGISTERING!!!
Me again
Yesterday evening changed all passwords from .fogconfig file. rm -rf all image files, free up space. Imaged machine, left it overnight. This morning, host reboot to login screen no probs. Fog server, no valid data image, task still running. Space on FOG server taken up. Hosts not found error.
Should I delete all host+image defs and start over registration etc?
@jackiejack Ran through all steps. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks.
@jackiejack Tried to log into with filezilla but it says incorrect login, even though I changed the password to password.
That long string in .configure file is the password? I thought it was some hash encryption thing.
@george1421
First I am trying step 5.
On my windows 10 edge I type ftp://192.168.26.110 but absolutely nothing comes up.
Oh and I didn’t touch the fog account at all.
Got above error
retyped “password” FOG_TFTP_FTP_PASSWORD
Is that sufficent? Anything more? With the /opt/fog/.fogsettings file? If so, then how?
Imaged 2 computers then canceled tasks.
How to free up disk space w/o deleting my hosts and image defs
@george1421 Will ask my superior about dns masq. But, as I am very new on the job I will stick to usb for the meanwhile. It is cloning now. I hope you all won’t get angry with me and my stupidity. Learning everyday. Will get there soon.
Thank you for bearing with me. You need dhcp for pxe boot.
@george1421 I use usb to register host. Then, the registered host can boot from FOG server? It’s already registered so no need to go though DHCP?
@george1421 Remember I couldn’t forward dhcp ports. Company policy. So I boot up from usb and registered the host. I am of the understanding that the as the computer PXE boots, it will ask “Is there a server with an os I can boot from?”
Then FOG will say here, look me!
Then, host gets os, then ip address from the dhcp server. So FOG server will need to provide boot file, directly. Am I right?
(Take your time)
EDIT: as a matter of fact, only when I schedule a capture task, does the host give this error.
@george1421 no no dnsmasq. You helped me with USB FOS boot device. Registered host no probs.
