In the old days you could say don’t shutdown unless the machine was not logged in.
Can you still accomplish this?

Power Management vs GreenFOG
so GreenFOG has been replaced by Power Management.
although i don’t see where to put the shutdown times in Power Management. Please advise
-
FOG checkin time
can i change the checking time for waiting machines. i think them all checking in is slowing the system down.

RE: Host Screen Resolution
Please note that it’s been said that the DisplayManager has been built back into the client.
https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/8383/svn-5949-screenres-manager/8?loggedin
@Joe-Schmitt said in Host Screen Resolution:
@networkguy 0.10.0+ removed DisplayManager from the client. As @Sebastian-Roth pointed at, its a very “Windows only” thing and never received much use compared to how much effort went into maintaining it. @Tom-Elliott, perhaps we can add some kind of “warning” next to display manager stating it isn’t present in 0.10.0+ ?
Obviously if there is enough support for it, we can add back display manager, but we won’t be porting it to OSX or Linux.

RE: SVN:5949 - ScreenRes Manager
When you edit a host, you can put in custom sizes. this doesn’t save when you click update.
the global settings also don’t seem to take effect. -

SVN:5949 - ScreenRes Manager
Wed Aug 17, 2016 15:07 pm
Running Version 1.3.0-RC-8
SVN Revision: 5949We are trying to utilize the screen manager. it’s been enabled in three locations and a resolution has been set.
If we try to override the res per host it doesn’t save the changes made. Also, it doesn’t seem to complete the task.
i also see no actions in the fog.log on the client.
Please advise

RE: FOG NODE - Access Denied
I have updated the /opt/fog/.fogsettings file on the NODE to use the username / password found in:
Web Interface -> FOG Configuration -> FOG Settings -> FOG Storage Nodes -> FOG_STORAGENODE_MYSQLPASS and FOG_STORAGENODE_MYSQLUSERis there a way to test it’s working as when you took a look the other day, it seemed OK and then i found this only after.
When we looked at location setup, it seemed to be working fine. -
RE: FOG NODE - Access Denied
Thanks for the reply, sorry for the delay (holiday).
Looking at MySQL, looks like root can’t be used (if i’m reading it right) unless i make a change.
Although, should i not be using fogstorage?? what would the password be. -
RE: FOG NODE - Access Denied
this is the storage node.
V 1.2.0 (8581) (Debian)IP in the error relates to itself, not the FOG Master
-
FOG NODE - Access Denied
Just updated to latest SVN and noticed access denied in out put.
Is this an issue? -
RE: Storage Management (Usage / Slow)
when i image a PC in SS the image goes VIA the JS NODE and then to the host.
-
RE: Storage Management (Usage / Slow)
Senior is master
Junior is Node
imageA set not to replicate (holds Senior Image)
imageB set for replication
Replication completeImageA&B members of DefaultStorageGroup
Storage Management - SS - Group = Default
Storage Management - JS - Group = Default -
RE: Storage Management (Usage / Slow)
Location plugin installed, just trying to configure not to use WAN for anything other than replication.
