From my personal experience I would recommend updating to the latest trunk version of FOG. It is much more advanced and I can capture and deploy W10 images without issues.

You need to install “subversion” and then download the latest package with

svn checkout https://svn.code.sf.net/p/freeghost/code/trunk

From there you install as usual. But be aware that updating might not always work flawlessly so I would test it in a non-productive environment and consider a clean install of the trunk version.

I’m currently running 6263 on Xubuntu 14.04 and it works like a charm. What an awesome set of software .

One minor thing I noticed is that I have an open multicast session which I can’t cancel (at least not in the management console). I created it via Image Management -> Multicast Image but I didn’t actually connect any clients since it is obsolete and now I can’t cancel it. The “Remove” button right there doesn’t work and also under Task Management -> Active Multicast Tasks cancelling doesn’t do anything. Am I missing something?

Actually I did all of them today, every single one of them. So all on 6150… I might try to recapture the images in a few days from now, though.

I just wanted to start a new topic about the exact same error. Since this is my first setup, I cannot say if it was also present in earlier versions. Currently I’m running the latest trunk (6150), last update today… the only thing I can contribute ist that this happens with every image I captured (Win7, Win8.1, Win10, …) and on vastly different hardware.

As mentioned before, the cloned machines actually work fine but the job never finishes and has to be cancelled manually.
