<![CDATA[Reinstall fails at initrd]]>Hi, I have a strange issue.

Everything ist updated to the current stable release, kernel and initrd also.

I can install a Windows image and everything ends up as expected.
When I reinstall the image onto the same client to test it again, it goes throught the PXe Boot and stops at:
EFI stub: Loaded initrd from LINUX_EFI_INITRD_MEDIA_GUID device path
EFI stub: Measured initrd data into PCR 9

After a while it reboots and loads the peviously installed Windows OS, but lost the Network Interface. Even when I go into the BIOS it doesn’t show the NIC as a boot Option. I have to power down, unplug the power cable, press and hold the power button for a few seconds to discharge and then when I boot, I see the NIC again and I can reinstall.

I can’t find any reason or solution what is happening. Maybe one of you has any idea.

Honestly not sure what is causing this to happen. I am working on a fix to this issue just haven’t had too much time lately.

Is it possible to delete the cache? A restart in between installations didn’t help and I don’t register the clients, I just do a quick deploy.

Alle the way up to 6.12.25 works, 6.12.35 breaks.

I have 2 Mainboards I’m testing with.
ASUS TUF B650-E WiFi works fine until I get to 6.12.35 and the problem occurs.

ASUS TUF B850-Plus WiFi only works with 6.12.35. PXe Boot works, until I want to deploy the image and then it can’t find the Network Interface since (I guess) the drivers are missing in the kernel up untul the newest kernel.

From the looks of it, B650 uses Realtek RTL8125 and B850 uses RTL8126. I don’t understand, why the 6.12.35 Kernel would cause the issue. Something must have changed compatibility wise. I tried increasing RAM Disk Size to 500.000kb, but that didn’t help
