• Hello!

    I read a lot of the threads related to this, but i cannot find a way to solve it for me T_T

    The password is correct and have permissions.
    I made a DB cleanup (following this guide)

    30/1/2020 18:16 Client-Info Client Version: 0.11.16
    30/1/2020 18:16 Client-Info Client OS: Windows
    30/1/2020 18:16 Client-Info Server Version: 1.5.7
    30/1/2020 18:16 Middleware::Response Success
    30/1/2020 18:16 HostnameChanger Checking Hostname
    30/1/2020 18:16 HostnameChanger Hostname is correct
    30/1/2020 18:16 HostnameChanger Attempting to join domain
    30/1/2020 18:16 HostnameChanger Access Denied, code = 5

  • May also want to check to see if the computer object already exists in AD. If the account does exist, the join account also needs the ability to modify that account either by virtue of being the creator/owner or by having the permission to modify computer objects in the target OU.

    @edxr We haven’t seen this error in a long time. Taking a look at this topic we might try Joe’s suggestion:

    The client requires the permissions to create an account (this is needed for samba domain support).

    So if I get this right the account you use to join the domain needs rights to create a computer account I suppose. Sorry I can’t give you a definite answer on this but I have only started to work on the fog-client part and don’t know all of it yet.
